5-Year Impact Report
5 Years of LLF
Legacy Landscapes Fund was launched in 2021 to address a critical gap in conservation funding: the need for long-term support that extends beyond project cycles and political timelines. Five years on, 16 Legacy Landscapes across 15 countries are part of the program, collectively covering more than 500,000 km², an area almost the size of Thailand.
Our 5-Year Impact Report brings together the voices of those working on the ground, highlighting how long-term funding stability is supporting their work and helping to drive lasting change.
Over the past months, we have spoken with partners across our landscapes, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, experience and insights to this report. It has been a pleasure to hear from our partners and learn more about how the unique model of LLF makes a difference in the effort to protect these landscapes and the people and biodiversity they support.
Five years is an important milestone, a moment to reflect on what has been achieved, celebrate the progress made, and look ahead to what comes next.
We look forward to continuing this work with our funders and partners across the globe, building on what we have learned and exploring what is possible with long-term, sustained support for conservation.
Here’s to the next five years and beyond.
