Martin has started his international career in the Humanitarian field, when subsequently his professional journey over 20 years led him into Sustainable Development. He served in senior field postings as Project Manager, Cooperation Coordinator, Deputy Head of Delegation as well as Regional Director in national and regional delegations over 15+ years. While working for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and CBM International he was field-based in the Middle East, Central and South-East Europe, and Southern Africa, operating in 20+ countries. He also looks back at 8 years of HQ positions as Head of International Cooperation as well as Program Director for Red Cross and CBM. Martin is specialized in Program Development, Institutional and Private Funding, Compliance, Organizational Capacity Development, and effective Partner Management in the Global South.
Beside initial qualifications as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Paramedic, Martin holds a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Applied Science in Wiesbaden, Germany.
